Our July Board Meeting was held on schedule via Zoom as we continue to closely monitor the Club’s position throughout this testing Virus period.
Although everyone has been adversely affected by the current restrictions we are, thankfully, unaware of any Club Members contracting the virus at this point in time. Let’s hope this continues for us all and our families.
With the imposition of Stage 4 restrictions we can now only have Steve attending the Club as required to maintain essential functions. This has unfortunately included necessary repairs and upgrading of our security cameras, lighting and associated and controls. One thing seems to lead to another. Glen is continuing to administer the “all-important”Footy tipping competition from home which is much appreciated.
It is pleasing to advise that we have been successful with our application for a $5000 grant through the VicGov. Business Support Fund. We are also following up other assistance opportunities being made available to Companies during this depressed trading period. Through another well publicized Federal Government initiative we have also been offered access to a generous loan package for our consideration if found necessary. Jobkeeper continues to provide wage compensation to our staff until end of September when it will be partially reduced.
On a brighter note our new green is ready to play on once Dan allows us. Well done to Cutter for his expertise and efforts throughout the installation months, really appreciated.
Thanks again to Gabrielle for her very informative monthly report to members on Bowls developments, also much appreciated.
Continue to take care, looking forward to catching up with everyone at the Club in the not too distant future.
Peter
